Elia Bozzato is a PhD candidate at Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium) and Social Media Coordinator of the BeNeLux & France Local Chapter.
His scientific research is in the area of nanomedicine and cancer, currently focusing on local delivery, glioblastoma and cancer stem cells.
In 2017, Elia obtained the master’s degree with cum laude predicate in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology at University of Padova (Italy). The interest for drug delivery started with his master thesis, where he worked on the development of targeted gold nanoparticles for delivery and controlled release of anticancer drugs.
In 2018, he worked on the synthesis of polymers for mannose receptor recognition under the Erasmus+ Traineeship program at University of Nottingham (UK) and then he received a PhD scholarship at Université Catholique de Louvain in order to develop a dual drug delivery system for the local treatment of glioblastoma.
