Mai Vuong is a PhD student in Chemistry at University Paris Saclay (France). Her project combines the expertises of 3 different laboratories to understand the drug delivery mechanisms of biodegradable drug carriers. She is also developing a new in situ NMR characterization method.
Obtaining background in Materials Science and Physical Chemistry, Mai dreams to make advanced materials for biomedical applications. She earned a joint Erasmus Mundus Master’s degree from the University Paris Saclay (France), University of Porto (Portugal), University of Genoa (Italy). Her interest in nanomedicine started from her Master internship in the lab of Dr. Ruxandra Gref in Paris Saclay, where she studies the degradation mechanisms of porous drug carrier made of nanoMOF.
Joining the Early Career Scientist Committee, Mai wants to build her network and do volunteer activities outside her research work. She likes discovering new things and places through reading books and travelling.
