Jayeeta Sengupta

Jayeeta Sengupta is a Ph.D. in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from

University of Calcutta, India. Her Ph.D. topic was mainly focussed on

nanotoxicology and biological interaction of nanomaterials. After

completing her Ph.D., she went on to pursue her first postdoctoral research

in targeted drug delivery and nanomedicine from IFOM-IEO, Milan, Italy.

Later she joined the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada for her second

postdoctoral research study in the field of nanomedicine. She is a

nanobiologist with working experience in multiple fields of biology, such

as drug discovery and development, toxicology, molecular biology, oncology,

biochemistry, preclinical studies, and biomedical science. In her last 9

years of research, she focussed mainly on the development of nanobiology

based solutions, worked on their therapeutic applications and synthesis of

different nanomaterials.   She has multiple publications in the field of

nanobiology and has authored book chapters in this domain. She holds her

Bachelors and Masters degree in Physiology and was awarded gold medal in

her bachelors for securing the highest marks in the university and obtained

her Master's degree with distinction. She has supervised Ph.D. and Masters students and has presented her research in international forums. Presently, she is an adjunct assistant professor with UMUC-Volkel, The Netherlands campus. Since she enjoys exploring different domains and learning about new technologies, she is presently involved in building up a deep-tech start-up as a core member.
