Harita Yedavally is a PhD student at the University of Groningen working on combating antimicrobial resistance focusing on new ways of targeting drug resistant pathogens within the ALERT Marie-Curie ITN. She obtained her bachelor degree in Biotechnology from Manipal Institute of Technology in India. She then went on pursue a joint Erasmus Mundus Masters at KU Leuven (Belgium) and UJF Grenoble (France). During her master studies she had the opportunity to work at the Institute of Structural Biology in Grenoble on using ion channels as reporters to measure the activity of genetically engineered receptors. She went on to graduate magna cum laude with a degree in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, with a focus on nanobiology in 2015.
